Wade Chandler has an M.F.A. in painting from the University South Florida and a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of West Florida. As a Core Fellow at the Glassell School of Art in Houston, he taught and exhibited extensively. Wade helped to start an art magazine about Texas art called Art Lies, which had a ten year run. After moving to Chicago, he became more involved in digital art and photography. His current work takes inspiration from the energy, light, color, and terrain of the Willamette Valley and Oregon's coast.
Not limited to a single style, Chandler's art ranges from the minimally simple to highly challenging visual juggernauts. Characterized by bold colors, fluid lines, and a dynamic sense of movement his work is a multiplex of painting, photography, and design which often uses multiple sources to create complex and sophisticated personal images.
